Dwyane Wade and the Chicago Bulls reached a buyout agreement - he will take an $8 million haircut to become a free agent. Not that we should feel bad for Wade, I wish someone would pay me $15 million to go away. The next question: Where will Wade play this season?

Dwyane Wade is about to become a free agent, and he's hoping that doesn't last for long. Wade and the Chicago Bulls agreed to terms on a buyout agreement Sunday, a person with direct knowledge of the talks told The Associated Press. Wade is considering several options, including a potential return to Miami or a reunion with longtime friend LeBron James in Cleveland, according to the person who spoke on condition of anonymity because the buyout has not been formally announced.

Dwyane Wade is the last household name standing in the Bulls' locker room, but it sounds like he will be gone from Chicago before the regular season tips off. A multi-month buyout saga between the Bulls and Wade could to be nearing an end just days before training camp begins. According to the Chicago Tribune, the Bulls and Wade have reached an agreement on a buyout of his $23.8 million option for the 2017-18 season, resulting in Wade becoming a free agent.

The defining moment in Dwyane Wade's yearlong stint with the Chicago Bulls didn't come during a game. After ripping his younger teammates following a Jan. 25 loss to the Atlanta Hawks, questioning just how much some in the group wanted to win, and dealing with the public fallout from Rajon Rondo's Instagram the following day, in which Rondo publicly called out Wade and Butler for how they handled the situation, Wade sat with the rest of his teammates inside the Advocate Center prior to a morning shootaround to discuss the comments of the last two days. Each player had the opportunity to speak on that Friday morning, and what became clear as the meeting progressed, according to multiple sources, is that several young players angrily voiced their displeasure to Wade regarding how he had called them out. Veteran Taj Gibson would explain later that the younger players were upset, at least in part, that Wade wasn't practicing all the time.

Dwyane Wade and the Chicago Bulls have reached an agreement on a buyout on the final year of Wade's contract.
Mon, 25 Sep 2017 13:45:42 GMT

According to Chicago Tribune, the Chicago Bulls and Dwyane Wade and have reach an agreement on a buyout. This has been coming for some time, as it does not make sense to have Wade in the fold for a young Bulls team moving forward. Wade will now be free to move to another team, and many people think that he will be headed to the Cleveland Cavaliers to join his pal LeBron James.

Doug Collins made it clear, that his return to the Bulls organization won't result in a return to the sidelines as head coach, meaning Fred Hoiberg has nothing to worry about in the way of looking over his shoulder. What Collins did admit, though, is he's back with the Bulls to provoke thought. Anyone who's listened to Collins as a broadcaster for ESPN or Turner Sports, or talked to him in any basketball capacity, knows he's not only a hoops lifer but also someone who can have strong opinions, capable of quick dissection of a complex picture in a moment's notice. "I'm not here to be a decision-maker. I want to provoke thought. My mind is very active," Collins said Tuesday afternoon at the Advocate

Cleveland Cavaliers star LeBron James has faced comparisons to NBA Hall of Fame and Chicago Bulls great Michael Jordan throughout his career, with most claiming Jordan was the greatest of all time, or the GOAT, for winning more championships. Jordan claimed six championships during his career, twice winning three consecutive titles in a row, while James has hoisted three championship trophies-two with the Miami Heat and one with Cleveland.

The Bulls and Nikola Mirotic ended their summerlong impasse by agreeing to a two-year, $27 million deal on the eve of training camp, sources tell CSNChicago.com. Mirotic was a restricted free agent and was at risk of not being at Media Day Monday had he and the Bulls not come to an agreement, but the sides came away with a deal both will probably say is advantageous. Mirotic has a no-trade clause in the first year of the deal and the second season is a team option according to sources, preserving the big cap space the Bulls have when Dwyane Wade's $23.8 million contract comes off the books. Mirotic and his representatives were looking for an offer sheet in the $16-17 million range when free agency first began, hoping the Bulls would match on what was expected to be a boom market.

As the controversy raged Saturday over President Donald Trump's tweet rescinding the White House invitation to Golden State Warriors' star Stephen Curry, a tweeted photo recalling a simpler time for sports team's presidential visits appeared.  The nostalgic Twitter account @the_60s_at_50 posted a photo from the Celtics' visit to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave and its principal occupant, John F. Kennedy, on Jan. 31, 1963. JFK had invited his hometown NBA team into the Oval Office for what seemed to be a spur-of-the-moment visit. A newspaper account of the visit was also posted. The defending NBA champion Celtics were in the Washington area to play the Cincinnati Royals at the University of Maryland's Cole
